Mondulkiri—elephants and jungle treks
Mondulkiri province, eastern highlands, 6 hours from Phnom Penh. Sen Monorom town sits 800m elevation—cooler climate than rest of Cambodia. Indigenous Bunong hill tribes, coffee plantations, waterfalls, and ethical elephant sanctuaries.
Mondulkiri Project is registered Cambodian NGO running ethical elephant sanctuary. No riding, no tricks, no chains. Walk alongside elephants through jungle, watch them bathe in river, help with feeding. Tours depart Sen Monorom 8:30am daily.
