🚕 From Tallinn Airport to City Center
Tram (Cheapest)
Tram line 4 runs every 10-15 minutes between the airport and city center. Journey time: 15-20 minutes. Ticket: €2 (buy on tram with contactless or app).
Bus
Bus 2 runs to city center. Journey time: 20-25 minutes. Ticket: €2.
Bolt/Taxi
Bolt ride-sharing app (Estonian company). Journey time: 10-15 minutes. Cost: €8-12. Avoid airport taxis—use Bolt instead for transparent pricing.

Ferry from Helsinki—Tallinn to Helsinki (2 hours, €15-45). Popular route. Tallink/Silja (9 daily), Viking Line (17 weekly), Eckerö Line (21 weekly). Scenic crossing Gulf of Finland. Fast ferries recommended.
Ferry from Stockholm—overnight ferry to Tallinn (15-16 hours, €40-150). Tallink operates route. Alternative to flying. Cabins available. Cheaper than you'd expect.
Bus from Latvia/Lithuania—Lux Express operates modern buses. Tallinn-Riga (4-5 hours, €15-25). Tallinn-Vilnius (9 hours, €30-45). Comfortable with WiFi, sockets.
Train from Latvia—Elron operates Tallinn-Riga via Valga (5-6 hours). Daily service started 2025. Book through Elron app/website.
Land border with Russia—currently closed to tourists. Check current status before planning. Previously St Petersburg-Narva route possible.

Estonia is part of the Schengen Area and European Union. US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and many other passport holders can enter visa-free for tourism up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

Domestic Flights
Not applicable—Estonia is small enough that flying within the country is unnecessary. Tallinn to Pärnu: 2 hours by bus. Tallinn to Tartu: 2.5 hours by train/bus.
